On November 12, the Vacuum Collectors Club (St. Louis division) had our annual Thanksgiving dinner/Mini-Meet. Some folks came from many hundreds of miles (and different states) to attend.

First up - Brian arrived with his "new in box" Super J Electrolux that had a sprung spring on the cord reel. Bought at an estate sale, the first time Brian went to use the winder, the spring went bad. The machine sat for 40 years, so that's understandable. The model 1205 carton was brought for Adam.

Evan had the Super J fixed in about ten minutes while the group watched (and LEARNED). Mini Meets are not just about drinking and partying and having a good time. No sir. They are also about learning how to Fix Your Own Vacuums (something I feel strongly about).

Speaking of spirits.......

Vintage Liquor cabinets. This particular one was used as a prop on the last episode of Batman in the 1960's. Donnie got it from a prop house in Los Angeles 20 years ago. Cat Woman opened it and pushed a red button....

The highlight of the Mini Meet. My BRAND NEW Speed Washer was delivered, and we all helped install it, defeat the lid switch, and watch the first wash. Washing machines lids should Never Be Closed!
