I finally cleaned up my Tristar CXL for big cleaning project. It's performing admirably. I love it!

There's a little issue, though, a little squeak from the fan or motor. You can't hear it when the vac is running. Once you switch it off, however, you can hear a slight squeak, squeak, squeak, squeak as the motor and fan slows to a halt.

Bad bearings? Is my motor kaput? Easy to fix or maintain? What to do?

If it's only slight, then it sounds like it'll be carbon brush squeak, it happens with most brushed motors, sometimes noticeable, other times not, but it's not a problem and best left alone... :)
