Squeaky rear wheels on a Electrolux EPIC Series 6000SR

I have a Epic Series 6000SR that has squeaky rear wheels. I have sprayed (actually drowned) the axle with WD-40 and when that didn't work I drilled holes in the plastic case where the axle goes through the case so that I could get 3 in 1 oil to the axle. Still no relief.

Where do I go from here????

Is there a way to take the wheels off of the axle and slide the axle out and lube it with something like white grease or silicone???

Car wax

Plain Carnauba Car wax on the axle and squeeks be gone. You also have less worry about the WD harming the wheels and leaking onto the carpet.

Electrolux Epic 6000SR is a plastic body, the last time Electrolux had an axle was the Model L. Each wheel is held on by a clip on the inside of the body. Once you get the body apart just spread the clip apart and slide the wheel out. Then you can clean the wheel and opening in the body in case there is crud in there. Lubricate with vaseline slide the wheel back in and put the retaining clip back on the wheel.

My advice about the axle was for the power nozzle. that was where I dealt with my most recent squeek, and I failed to read into the post that it was the machine itself.

Squeaky wheels

Well I sprayed "Favor Spray Polish" onto the rear wheels (actually I drowned the rear wheels) Then I let it set outside in the sun, turning the unit two or three times to let the liquid flow where it needed to flow. Then I wiped off the excess and tried it out. I still had some minor squeaking. So I repeated the process again! Second time it worked---NO MORE SQUEAKY WHEELS! I hope that it will last!
