I too was watching it. It's an early 1910s model. First one I have ever seen on ebay. It was the small model next to the Senior and it was bigger than the friction drive baby model(which may have come a bit later). It was also made along with the Special Model N aswell. The Junior is older than many of the Hoovers that you see in the biggest vacuum collections and is very rare. It seems like all models prior to the 102 (1919) are very hard to come by, and the Junior is far older than the 102.

Yes, I too thought it was an interesting Hoover, but the end bid was quite lofty. And once again, the fellow with deep pockets bid within the last few seconds of the auction. I've never seen another one like it on eBay. Judging by the size of it, I would think it would be as heavy as the model "O." Wonder if he'll be able to fabricate a bottom plate to cover the suction hole.

I think a model 102 or 105 baseplate will work. With the kind of money that guy has he probably has a few.

omg

who the heck would buy that for that much money? I mean I would buy it for 10.00 for the most because of the condition if it looked a lot better than that I would have bid more.

And now look at what happens! Anyone notice all of the crazy Hoover listings since that. Now everone thinks their old model 105 is worth a lot. It's not even close to a Junior in rarity.

Ahh...never mind! That is the 105 you are talking about.

I just got me a N...but more on that later! :-)

Yep, thats was an interesting one. Finishing price was $0.01 after the $150 bid got canceled. Quite funny really. The other machines I was talking about are the model 105 where the seller claims that it was made in 1912 (was really made in 1921) and then the seller that has a Special 541 who just copied the "1912" 105 description and title. It's crazy.

Congrats on the N. Can't wait to see it. Where did you find it?

Check out "Toby's House: Revisited". I mentioned that one on there. I will take pictures of it later, as well as restore that monster!! :-)
