This is not even a beginning to how many saws we own! Just a small start in showing a glimpse into my obsession! Ha ha! There ya go Alex! Pictures of Phyllis! She's the very first saw picture I listed! She's a 1960's Sears H58 Direct Drive saw! I will be restoring her back to her original glory sometime in the future! The shelf of saws are 8 out of 11 Mr. Poppets! The "Mr. Poppets" are 1960's Sears D44's ranging from lightweights, automatic oilers, a power sharp, and I have a rare gear drive D44 not in this picture. I have 3 more that are floating about our property! Ha ha! The next shelf of saws are 3 of my electrics that Sammy so kindly put up on his shelf for me! The first is a Remington Limb N' Trim from the 1970's, the middle is probably either 1970's or 1980's Craftsman, and the last is a brand new Remington Limb N' Trim that my husband bought me for my birthday last year. The orange one is named Dinky, given to me by a friend, the Craftsman is new and doesn't have a name yet, got him at a flea market, and the new black Remington is named Blinky. Blinky is the first new saw I've ever gotten that I actually cut with! I mostly get saws to just look at! Ha Ha! Then I have pictures of 2 outta 11 Mr. Poppets with dear old Phyllis! The D44's were just a regular saw for the homeowner to use whereas Phyllis and Lord Poppet were made for more of the serious arborist for logging. The pretty light blue Mr. Poppet is the same one in my avatar! He was my very first saw ever! You all will see his pretty rainbow sticker! Ha Ha! Next, is a picture of lime green (original paint color) 1960's Sears H58 gear drive "Lord Poppet". He has a 32 inch bar on him! We got him off of EBay. He was in a Nevada dessert junk yard for years! We couldn't even see if he had compression because his cylinder was full of sand! Sammy spent a very long time getting him clean and running! Sammy bought him for me for Christmas a few years back. Now the difference between Phyllis and Lord Poppet is how their bars are turned. A direct drive saw means that the engine turns the bar, and a gear drive means that the engine turns gears then the gears turn the bar. Not on all gear drive saws, but we have a few that the engine runs backwards so the gears will run forwards so the bar doesn't spin backwards! It's pretty neat! Had to next show Lord Poppet and Phyllis together since they're related! Ha Ha! Then I have nice pictures of some of my Sears saws all together! BTW, the red D44 is Mr. Poppet 11. I got him off of EBay a few months ago. He just needs a carb rebuild kit and then I'll cut with him! The last picture Sammy caught me off guard because I sitting amongst my babies playing with them and he snapped a photo of me! I will post more chainsaw pictures as soon as I can! Hope you all enjoyed the nice scenery background I did on purpose! Why what else would you do with a Thursday night? Of course take pictures of chainsaws by flowers! Ha ha!
