Hey folks,

Had a visit from some fellow collectors today and got some lovely surprises. Got 3 Panasonic's - and MC-E43, 46 and a 54, a Philips TC412 and a Delonghi Combi 800.

Pics below.

The Panasonic MC-E43 is pretty much identical to the 46 on the far left, but a little darker and lower wattage. It's currently awaiting cleaning, and will post a pic once it's done

Chris, you'd better sleep with one eye open as I may be coming to take that DeLonghi one night!

You said it was unused, well it certainly looks it.

If you haven't already I hope you will take some videos of those vacuums and post them on YouTube, I would enjoy viewing them.

Why is it everyone else gets all the good vacuums and I don't? It's a conspiracy I think.

Now, where'd I put my tin foil...

Jamie, I will most certainly be doing some video's of these - probably at the weekend. Keep an eye out for them.

The Delonghi had indeed never been switched on before today. It has it's original bag in and came with the manual, a set of bags and a replacement belt. There wasn't a spec of dust on it.

I'll post a pic with the U800 showing the slight design differences between the Philips and the Delonghi cleaners later this evening.

As you are aware, the Panasonic 40 series are some of my favourites and to now own one with a HEADLIGHT is so much fun :).

One difference I noticed straight away was the power switch being located on the front of the cleaner rather than just in front of the power cable entry as on the U800.

Do you find that better or worse?

I wouldn't say it's necessarily better OR worse - just different. The bag door release is also different. Instead of having the press down catch of the u800, this has a slider that holds it in place. Strangely, this was actually a reversion to the original design - the Kenwood Powerboost had the power switch on the front and the slider for the bag door. It was only the Philips that used the other design

As you can see, the Delonghi comes with a much longer, telescopic metal extension tube. Unfortunately, this tends to stab you in the hip/side/crotch when in use. The extension tube is also very heavy to use on the relatively short hose.
