Fred Nelson,Tania and Fred and Robert,
We have snow in Indiana today. We will try and catch up with friends like you that are further north.
Time to get the Toro out and have some fun.
Just like using a Super Powered Kirby without the bag in place!

Snow in Indiana

Gareth,
You have good eyes. That is my Buick I bought in 2003. It has 23,000 miles. It's never been in the snow before but this might be the winter as a lady totaled my Regal last fall and I have no need for 2 cars anyway.

Gary,
I imagine our snow down here is NOTHING to what you get!

Seeing the snow you guys have makes me glad that we have none!

That is a beautiful house you have by the way.

Coldest Temps

In 30 years.  Holed up inside and waiting for 25 degrees towards the end of the week.  Here is the pile of snow at the end of my driveway.  Thank goodness for those guys who come in the night and clear the snow.

Snow in Indiana

Ok Fred, you have us beat but I have been out today the second time already.
It is such a beautiful snow IF you don't have to get out and drive in it.

May I just say....

and please take this comment with a tongue-in-cheek attitude...

But coming from 112.28F temps here at the moment - with humidity in the high 60's I reckon I could almost roll around in that snow!

Looks stunningly beautiful! However I get it - you're all over it... And I feel for you - so I'm sending lots of warm thoughts from Down-under! Stay safe everyone and find a good furry snuggle-buddy to keep you warm!

It's not snow in Northern Pennsylvania,

but roller coaster temps.

On Thursday and Friday it was minus 10, yesterday it was 15 above, this morning it was 22 (above), and went up to 35 by late afternoon. I just walked my dog, checked the temp, and it was 45! (A heat wave)!! Weatherman predicts freezing rain, and the temp to plummet to -7 by dawn, and stay there two of three days brrr! Fortunately we have a fireplace in the living room, a new wood stove between the kitchen and living room, that my partner had installed this fall, and another wood burning stove in the basement. In addition to an electric blanket, we have an 85 pound bed warmer pictured here. My dog, Felecia, sleeps on the floor at the bottom of the bed, but once my partner and I fall asleep, she gets up and either lays at our feet or snuggles in between us (on top of the covers).

In weather like this, I'm drinking a lot of hot coffee, and huddling by the fireplace, in fact my computer is there so I'm toasty warm while I write, or post. Going out for wood, or walking the dog is another matter, I freeze my ---- off.

To all my friends in the Midwest, New England and anyplace where it's sub zero, please find ways to keep warm, till this monster of a cold front passes.

It's not snow in Northern Pennsylvania,

it's the cold.

We have a stockpile of wood on the front porch. As the steps are brick, we keep that blocked off, and load up with wood. There is a wood burning stove in the basement, right under the fireplace (between the two garage doors) that keeps the hardwood floors warm. I've lived with my partner almost four years and never been cold in this house. I can't say the same for outside, but as this is an 100 acre farm, it's as close to paradise as you can get.
