Decided to hit the thrift stores the other day. Salvation arm had a DC 28 for 60 dollars and an Oreck XL2 for 30. I know the DC 28 is suppose to be one of Dysons better models, but I really wasn’t looking to spend that much. I also don’t think there’s much of a difference with the XL2 versus the other Orecks so I passed on it too. Headed over to goodwill, which has been very dry lately, especially for vacuums and they had this Simplicity tucked away in the back for 10 dollars. Well I’ve always wanted to try one of these tandem air machines and the price was right so it came home with me. It was fairly clean and mechanically sound, though the poor thing has some battle scars. It still amazes me that people would buy such an expensive vacuum and then beat the crap out of it. I can’t imagine what their furniture looks like. It’s kinda hard to tell how well the tandem air system works, I will have to use it for a while and see what it pulls up.
