Hi Bill I live in Tucson,I found a like new silverking blue 2000 at our swap meet for 25.00 two years ago and sold it for 250.00. this is a quality machine with a very powerful lamb motor and a 7ft hose.

OMG!!!!!

Well I got it. This thing is SOOOO powerful that you could suck the nails out of a board!!! And talk about QUIET!!!! Im glad that this thing is made in Colorado and not china. Tomarrow Im going to get another Silver King for $50.00 from a retired vacuum cleaner store owner. He has 15 more. That one might be a gift for my friend Lynn who is a pro-house cleaner. Silver King professional model 73B-2

hey all-i purchased a Silver King Professional vacuum cleaner from a friend's yard sale for $11 and i have a question about the wiring. The switch died and i'm replacing it with a toggle switch that is rated the same amperage and HP. So here are my questions:
1). Will a toggle switch be a suitable replacement for the push button switch
and
2). Does anyone have a photo or a diagram of how the switch is wired in....? Sigh! I neglected to take a picture of the wiring and then the tape I put on it fell off-yikes! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, EG

Vacuous

Wiring a switch is so simple. One side gets hot wire from power cord. Other side sends power to motor and PN receptacle ( where applicable). This is the most basic scenerio. Neutral wire ( typically white) from motor and receptacle are wire nutted to neutral from cord. ( I mean no harm or insult by this just advice). If you don't under stand the wiring of a basic switch, go to you local lowes or Home Depot and pick up a book on general electrical wiring. The principles and rules are transferable to vacuums and most small appliances. That would be very benificial when it comes to electrical repairs in vacuums. Though variable speed switches and relays in vacuums are a different ball of wax. That's level two in electrical class lol!
