I know the Constellation/Slimline/Portable use a type j bag. Question is will Hoover's new type S hepa bag fit? I know the new Connie uses this bag and was wondering if it works in the older models.

Hi,
I've just removed bag cardboard/plastic attaching plates and glued the original taken off an old paper bag, keeping it under several books for weight... it works!
Try, but don't expect this system to be perfectly airtight!!! However it's the only thing that allows me using old vacs without feeling very bad...Happy Easter. Tommy
