A huge challenge that collectors face is disposing of collections. Over the years I've seen quite a few collectors (or their survivors) trying to sell off their collection as one large lot. It has never been successful, not even with such a notable collector as Stan Kann. His collection was not sold intact after he died, although one person did buy many of the machines.
While it's a lot more work, obviously, the only feasible way to liquidate one's collection is to sell machines individually.
Nonetheless, good luck with your auction and sorry to know you're facing what must be a difficult life-situation.
