Seeking a working vintage vacuum

I have a friend who has a beautiful home built in 1935. Most of the house has the original harwood floors.He wants a working vintage vacuum that would be very close to this time frame. Would anyone have some suggestions? I would surely appreciate that.

Brad, is he leaving the floors as uncovered hard-wood, or is he putting down area-rugs in each room?

I've got some Lux model XXX's that are pretty close to this time frame, If I recall correctly they were made from the late 1930's all the way up to the early 1950's.
