I thought a few of you might be amused to see just how far someone will let a brushroll wear down before they replace it. Here you can see the brushroll from my friend's Sebo X1 - it's shown next to my nearly new Felix's brushroll for comparison! Of course, the X1's warning light was on constantly, and it was operating like a suction-only cleaner, as the broken bristles skimmed the carpet, even on their lowest setting! I'm pleased to report I replaced it with a brand new one this afternoon, and it's working like new again!

And on the subject of Sebos:

Here's my newly-delivered X1, an eBay bagain at £5.51!! The seller posted it just wrapped in a bin-liner, but fortunately, it survived unscathed. Now that's durability! Needed a good clean, and I've replaced the filters, and now it's like new! Dates from February 1994 - 13 years old and still going strong; not bad for a modern machine!
