HI, I have a SEBO as my daily driver, love it BUT this is the 3rd time I have had the same problem with the cable braking where it go's in the the handle. SEBO in the UK are horrible to deal with and say it's not covered, as I must have pull the cable to hard. (NOT correct). The 1st time I replaced the vac with the same one thing I was just unlucky that went with in a few weeks SEBO said sent it to us they then said pay us £45.00 or you wont see your vac again. that was about 6 months ago. Now its gone again should I repair again or dump and never go near a SEBO pity realy its a realy good vacuum if you have dogs and hand made rugs. But I just hate dealing with them they are SO rude on the phone so why should I give them my money. any know a good vax shop that would look at a SEBO I did try one but they said SEBO are hard to deal with to get parts.

I would say....

Its up to you, if you like the vacuum enough look at e-bay for a used cord/cable. I like the SEBO but if they are going to be like that I wouldnt give them any more of your business, on the other hand you are kinda stuck if you really like the vac. If it were me Id look into a used cable or take it to another vac shop. Thats a common problem here in the U.S. or atleast where I am. The Winsor vacs I used to work with were forever having the're cords changed due to sparking at the handle.

This is a common problem with sebo's of all ages, we probibly get about 6 a week in for this problem.

You DO NOT NEED A NEW CABLE just shorten the one you have by a few centimetres. Its as easy as pie to do , if you can fit a plug you can shorten the cable

I've never had a problem with mine - only one I had a problem with is with an old X1 Automatic that was given to me to repair. There's a really handy you tube video online that shows you how to repair the cable on the X handle and from what I understand it's similar with the Felix.
