Hi I'm wondering if there's anyone who can show me how to take a sears super8 camera apart to replace the headphone jack. I'll post pictures soon.
Thanks.
At first glance, it looks a lot like a little Bell & Howell I have. Upon further inspection, it's actually much beefier. The screws on mine are fairly obvious once you have the film and battery compartments open. I'm afraid I won't be much more help than that...
I can tell you my guess on how it's put together.
The handle sis two half sections. Either bottom of the handle or another location I'll mention shortly. The handle and bottom 3rd of the camera are two halves. The middle section with wood grain stickers is second place. There might be screws under those stickers.
If you use a heat gun it should come off easily.
The lens is sandwiched between the two half's of the super 8.
If you can find where the seam is splitting in two pry open. Keep it flat one side on steady surface.
If you can pry enough access camera part maybe use tape to keep it together so it doesn't fly everywhere.
My intuition tells me you want to keep lens solid undisturbed .
I believe I'm pretty close on how to access.
