New member here, I posted weeks ago on the Vintage Forum with no replies.

I own a Kenmore Destiny. A few weeks ago I accidentally threw away the rubber seal around the top of the dust bin. I originally posted to see if anyone knew where I could find another, if they had a spare. Last week, I fashioned one out of a ceramic kitchen canister seal including chamfering the top edge to mimic the real seal. Used my Fantom Fury as my example. Works fine. So far so good.

What I now notice is the machine runs very hot. There is full suction, just the exhaust is hot.

I wondered if anyone knew where to find a schematic for this or the Fantom Thunder.

Hope to hear from someone. Thanks.

I have never seen a schematic on one, but I don't know how that would help you resolve its running hot. I do however believe there shouldn't be a relationship between your makeshift gasket and the increase of exhaust temp.

I don't know how hot your exhaust is but it normally is pretty warm, especially through the HEPA filter if you have one.
