I have seen one of the "commercial Kirby's" years ago at the High school I attened it was most likely the Janitonic model. I have also enjoyed the pictures of the ComVac and Supervac or Super Sweep. Any one know why they were a flop for Scott & Fetzer? Was it the usuall to heavy, to hard to use and Far to expensive to purchase song and dance? Also what amp motors did the various models have? As you can see from my screen name I'm a Kirby man and have been since age 3 I'm now 44.

I wish I could answer your question, but I believe the janitorial side of Kirby ended in 1984, which was when Scott Fetzer sold the American Lincoln division to McGraw-Edison.
A few shared parts between the American Lincoln commercials and the domestic Kirbys may interchange (including the belt and the long handle parts), but not all (particularly, the 18" long brush roll unique to the "Super-Sweep" and "SuperVac 180").
