Arlee and I decided to go in together and get each other something for Christmas that we really need but neither could afford -- a new microwave oven.
We went to our faaaaaaaavorite store (NOT) -- Walmart -- {{{*BLARRRGHH*}}} -- because there were some really good deals on microwaves there. We found the exact model we had been looking at on-line -- and it was the last one in the store!
Something we hadn't figured into the mix, however, was the fact that we had driven there in Arlee's tiny BMW. The large microwave box wouldn't fit in the trunk, and there's no back seat. And it was too cold to open the convertible top. So we had to squeeze it onto my lap. That was not the most comfortable car ride I've ever had, but we did get the microwave home safely and got it set up.
It's really lovely, a very good model that's a lot like the one it replaced but smaller -- our old one was huge! It's nice of Santa to have brought us just what we wanted -- and he even brought it a week early!
