I think it will be interesting to see what the reaction is to the upright with the hand vac instead of a hose as nothing like this has been tried in a long, long time. Other than on stick vacuums where this is a common design point.
In some ways it seems like a good idea, no stretchy hose to fight you while cleaning and to add bulk to the machine when being used as an upright. On the other hand, realistically how much suction can that hand held provide? How much suction does one need for above the floor cleaning? Is the hand vac balanced well? Is it actually easier to use that a stretch hose? How much weight will that add to the top of the cleaner?
On another note, I noticed that the cord passes through the hand vac into the main cleaner. Seems convenient enough but what if that little motor fails before the rest of the machine, will that make the rest of the machine unusable?
I am getting more and more curious about these machines, can't wait to see them in person.
