I have some rust parts on my Eureka wands. I am wondering if they can be sanded or there is a chemical that I can use to remove the rust. They may be a little pitted under the rust. Not sure.

Any advice for a process I can try?

Thanks so much!

Richard.

I use.....

(0000) extra fine steel wool, have used it for various things including smoothing nicks in plastic....say, PN's.

It will remove the rust and make them look better. Clear Automotive spray paint or wax can preserve the cleaned surface.

I have used Evapo-rust before for my wands.
In the past, I used a section of gutter to put the wands in.
Cover with plastic to reduce evaporation.
You need something long and shallow to put the tubes in.
Even a PVC pipe with caps on will work.
Walmart, Harbor Freight, hardware stores and others carry it.
