I have a Royalaire that is in relatively good condition, though there is some rust on the inside of the part that has to be reoved to get to the bag. Also, the blue-green area of the tank has some brownish spots. How could I get the vacuum looking good again, and what would work as a replacement bag?

Hi Ian,
I also have a Royalaire 260 tank! For the chrome end cover, use steel wool and a good polishing compound such as Mother's Mag. For the painted surfaces use an automotive rubbing compound. Be careful with it not to rub too hard or to deep as it's possible to rub the paint off if you rub too heavy ith it.
As for the bag, it uses the same bag as a full size Royal or Electro-Hygiene tank. The key word here is full size--a bag from the pony tank or power tank won't work as it is about an inch too small in diameter. Hope this helps.
Jeff
