I had to change the belt on my Royal Power Nozzle, and now for some reason the wheels that that adjust the height of the nozzle won't go all the way down for the low setting like it did before I changed the belt and for the life of me I can't figure out what happened.

Anyone know how to solve this problem?

Is this the Royal Pony power nozzle, Filter Queen style or Cen-Tec CT14DX style? It's possible the bottom plate isn't fully latched somewhere, or front adjuster wheels got dislodged somewhere. The type of power head can decipher a lot. If its the Cen-Tec, you can remove the top cover, push the height adjuster and watch to see what its doing, check that wheels are inserted in front height adjustment plastic bracket that attaches to mechanism. If its the Filter Queen style, the bottom plate comes off and perhaps a washer on the front wheels has moved while reassembling.

Good luck and let us know. I've never seen a Pony nozzle outside of internet so I'm not sure how those disassemble.

I hope some of this helps!! Easy stuff to try before spending money in a shop or shipping for an easy solution.

If it has a bottom metal plate with two screws....

There should be a lip on the front of the plate that has to fit over the ridge running along the front of the power nozzle. If not it could be causing the problem.

Well, I don't what was wrong with the nozzle, but once I removed the piece that bottom wand attaches to and reattached everything went back to normal.

Glad, its fixed somehow. Not sure what you did. If you can, still posts some pics of top and underside. I'd be interested! Thanks and Happy Vacuuming!
