I just loved the retro name for this Royal so I couldn't pass it up!

That's the first time I ever saw a 790 with its original bag intact! It indeed looks every bit like Royal's mainstream 880 aside from the branding.
May I ask you how old it is? It looks to be a 1971 to 1976 model.

Nice find! Not too many of them around. Electro-Grand was another name sold by Electro-Hygiene as was Galaxy Prestige. I agree, it probably was built around 1971-76, but since it was sold through Electro-Hygiene it would have had a crystal chamber even if was earlier than 1974.
