ROCKETSHIP is a very touching 15-minute family drama in which an unlikely bond is forged between a lonely boy and an elderly man claiming to be a former astronaut. Together, they transform a vintage vacuum cleaner into a rocketship for a surprising journey.

The film is inspired by the rocketship sculptures of artist David Random.

ROCKETSHIP has been widely acclaimed by film critics and is being screened at independent film festivals across the U.S.

That was pretty good. I loved the whimsical creations in Braddock's workshop. The film felt almost like it was part of a larger piece. I'd love to see it expanded into a feature length film with more character development. A thematically similar film is 'Rocket Gibraltar' (1988), which starred Burt Lancaster in one of his final roles. It has nothing to do with rockets or vacuum cleaners but everything to do with the relationship between an old man and his grandchildren, who are misunderstood by the generation in between as they set out to give him a Viking funeral.

This was very well done. I think it would make a good feature-length film, also. Nice shots of the Electrolux, and other vacuums and parts.
