Last night I went to this really really big vac store and had to get a filter for my electrolux and my dad wanderd off into thr riccar area and before (one week) ago he saw on a riccar cylinder box MADE IN ???? And I told him most of them are made in USA BUT HE DID NOT BELIVE ME! So I went back yesterday to search for an electrolux filter and he tried out the blue brilliance ( without me) and then the radiance (without me) and he loved it? THE PERSON SHOWED HIM HAT THEY ARE USA. So now thats what I am getting for christmas? A $999 vacuum? But at another vac shop the man told me that they had bad problems ?

NOW I AM MAD

IS THE FAN PRONE TO BRAKAGE?
IS IT RELIABLE?
IS IT WORTH iT?

SAESMAN TOLD ME THAT TACONY WAS GOING TO BE MADE IN PITTSBURGH BUT THEY DIDNT!

In my opinion

The Riccar Radiance/Simplicity Synergy is one of the best vacuum cleaners ever made. You can't always trust what a non dealer will say about the vacuum, they want you to buy a brand they carry. The Radiance is very well built, with a lot of metal internal parts and a belt that is guaranteed for teh life of the vacuum, if it ever breaks it ill be replaced for free. It comes with 3 free services as part of teh warranty too It also has the true sealed HEPA filtration, filtrete bags, on board tools, best cleaning power of ANY upright and all that other good stuff.

I'm not sure about the going to be made in Pittsburgh part, sounds to me like a salesman's BS tho.

OMG!

I already have a brilliance and radiance and i would take another one for christmas anyday!! I hope that is what you get because you WILL NOT be dissapointed!

Enjoy!

Yeah

Reggie showed me a Riccar Radiance, I must say I WAS impressed..and I don't often say that about modern vacs.

I have a Riccar Radiance-nice machine. The Riccar dealer here demoed it to another client by actually picking up drywall screws with it!Wouldn't recommend this-the primary motor has a plastic fancase and fan.Made of some sort of composite plastic. The Simplicity "Synergy" is a similar machine to the Riccar Radiance.there is a Simplicity dealer in Kinston, NC.I have seen the internal parts of the Radiance-yes it has a lot of metal parts-however wish the primary suction motor(also drives the brushroll)had a METAL fan and fancase-and a larger discharge opening to prevent clogging-don't let your Radiance pick up a toothpick or such-the pick will lodge in the fan discharge opening and clog the machine as other stuff is picked up.Was a mess to unclogg.Thats how I got to see the insides of mine-and another note-warning-do not dissassemble your Radiance unless you really have to-lots of tight fitting parts there.Taking the machine down and putting it together will try anyones patience.I like mine-but like my Kirby Sentria better.Try to get your Radiance or Synergy at a lower price than list-most dealers will do this. The list prices of these machines is Rediculous.
