As usual I was sniffing around e-bay when I noticed this very intersting caption accompanied with a very "lofty" asking price. And muttering to myself.."It's a Bissell"...
I looked over the within, and while it is comparatively rare, I'm feel rather dubious about the current asking price. And if there is someone out there who would be willing to part with such a sum...for an item I'm sure was overpriced from Rexair initially (prolly around $100.00 or so I imagine), yet sold as a Bissell thru every major catalog showroom from anywhere from $49.95-69.95 depending on the year.
I was quite nice, and emailed the seller, explaining that it is a Bissell ElectroFoam, badge engineered of course for Raionbow-Rexair, and of course recieved no response, nor was anything put on his page reffering to this information I gladly supplied. I really ddiin't expect him to , as he reads very self posessed, and overly knowledgeable about his Rexair items...( and why not I'm sure people think this about me sometimes)...
I figured that I would put up the pictures that of course show a brand new never used with box machine, that clearly excaped the ravages of time.
I used to have the Bissell version, and a a scrubber was merely so-so IMHO, and usually left the carpets kinda sticky, until the dry faom stuff dried. If you did NOT have a really powerful vacuum cleaner to remove all the dried powder the dirt and grime stayed in the rug. And the carpets got gummy over time anyway from all that detergent left in the nap...
I wonder what happened when a Rexair user who actually used thiers had happen when that dry shampoo hit the water bath with that whirling sperator frothing everything about. Maybe that's why it was rare, and diddn't sell well....
I know that this machine was private labled for others including Compact...but come on...Is this thing really worth that much???
I digress....
