My royal 608 is an 87 model.
The serial # is c87h073285.
I'll send pictures when I get good ones.

The serial # you got translates to a mfg. date of March 1987.

Its bag would be dark blue, have the "Royal Five" patch (crown logo is in first red rectangle at top, the Royal name is written five times on clear backing, and the word "COMMERCIAL" is in the bottom rectangle.

Also, on the nozzle, there would be decal with the Royal marquee on it, and below that, "HEAVY DUTY COMMERCIAL."
