Replacement brush roll bristle strips

Original Kenmore beater bar brush rolls had replaceable beater bars and bristle strips. One end of the roll has a removable end that holds the bristle strips and beater bar in the grooves of the roller. The beater bars are still available through Sears but not the bristle strips. Does anyone here have a source for replacement bristle strips or a some for another vac that might work and are available? Thanks.
