Regina stick vacuum model number and 3 part questions

Hi,
My name is Robert. I took the dust cup out and found a Regina Co. Sticker.
I am trying to figure out the model number. The sticker has Serial No. and rubber stamped to the right of it 833, Model followed to the right of it a rubber stamped B8538B. However, below Model followed vertically has on separate lines Listed 296B.
I contacted a parts service through its chat service and was advised by Sean that he thought B8538B was a serial number. He googles it and could not find anything on this stick vacuum. I could not find anything of this on bing or ebay. I also looked on another website that has 109 Regina models and I did not see it on their site either. I did not find it on Regina website either.
I would like to know the model number. I also found inside the plastic dust cup a black canvas cloth bag. I would like to know if it is a part for this stick vacuum or if someone made it and put it inside the stick vacuum. If its part of the stick vacuum, then the canvas cloth bag is torn to shreds on one side and I would like to find a replacement. Also, the outside bag of the stick vacuum has a white background with reddish bird and flower ivory pattern and is also shredded at the bottom. Writtened on this outside bag has STENCIL Inspired by folk art of rural Bucks County Pa. late 1700s. I would like to find a replacement bag. Lastly, I found a hand assembly that comes in 2 pieces and I was wondering if this was a part from this stick vacuum. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

Regina questions

The serial number is indeed 833 which means this broom was manufactured during March of 1978. The model number is B8538B.

As for Regina like many companies these days is in name only and not related to the old Regina Of Rahway NJ so you won't find any information from them. The patents and numbers were all dissolved into Oreck years ago with Oreck re-badging the replacement Regina all plastic brooms as there own. As for replacement parts they are few and far between these days mostly on Ebay and one or two vacuum parts companies such as vacpartsplus.

Your bag is sadly shot and it looks like somebody tried reenforcing the backing of it so no the black canvas should not be there. It should simply be the bag wrapped around the white plastic portion with a white metal band keeping it in place. Also note that your missing the front white plastic plate that says "Regina" and how many speeds you have and the lower floor nozzle has been shoved all the way in which has cracked the plastic fan housing neck. I have loads of parts for these machines but sadly no bags like this one. I do have other color and patterns available however. How does it run?

Sorry forgot to add that is indeed a part of this broom and once the bag is properly attached in place goes around it as a useful handle to clean stairways etc.

My ALL-TIME Favorite.....

In the Regina Electrikbroom lineup! Mainly for sentimental reasons. Growing up, my grandfather had one identical to that, same stencil pattern bag, etc. As a kid who was a nut over vacuum cleaners anyway, and coming from a household that was strictly Electrolux; this neat little stick vac had a certain appeal to it. I hunted for any excuse to use it when we would visit, and absolutely loved doing so. It was notoriously loud (my mother absolutely HATED when I turned it on!), and I don’t recall it doing that great of a job, but I still had a blast playing with it, then shaking the bag and emptying the dirt cup when I was finished! My grandfather passed in 1994 and his belongings were divided between his children. I have no idea what ever became of that little Electrikbroom (although a window fan I accidentally left up there was burnt with some trash, so it may have met a similar fate), but for many years I looked for another one like it. It took a long time, but I finally did get an opportunity to get one like it, and it’s now a treasured part of my collection. While I know it isn’t my grandfather’s broom, I still get those feelings like I felt as a kid when I run it!
