does anyone have a good recipe for beef stroganoff? were you use ground beef. a friend of mine made it this way and i liked it. she is gone now so cant get recipe and also a recipe for homeade dinner rolls easy recipe. not store bought.

My quick & simple recipe consists of a package of name brand wide egg noodles, about a half pound of ground beef, 1 medium onion minced, and a can of mushroom soup for the white sauce.

Brown the meat, add the onion toward the end of the process. Stir in the soup straight from the can, (I prefer to leave the meat grease in the mix), a tsp of beef bullion adds flavor. Mix in the noodles, salt & pepper to taste.

Fast, cheap, and not bad tasting. add water/oil to adjust consistency

Rolls:

1 cup warm water
add 1tbsp sugar, 1.5 tsp salt, 1 package yeast, half cup bread flour. Let sit for 10-15 minutes, add flour to make dough, knead till dough won't pick up additional flour. Form a ball, grease the sides by turning over in a greased bowl, cover for about a half hour. Push your fist through the center of the dough, gently knead back into a ball, then pull off sections & form your rolls, placing them on a cookie sheet. Allow them to rise again, about 1/2 to 1 hour, or until they stop rising. Bake at 400F till brown, or produce hollow thump when tapped.

Note: Common mistakes in yeast baking are using liquids hot enough to kill the yeast, and adding butter, grease or shortening, which encapsulate the yeast cells & suffocate the yeast
