I'm trying to clean up an Electrolux canister cord-winder. I have a cord-winder unit out of a 1205 and am trying to disassemble, clean, lube, and re-assemble it.
Two questions: First, how do you remove the rewind spring assembly without losing a limb (partially doing this maintenance for practice)? Second, my ULtralux Classic (model 1521) has a balky cord-winder. Can the cord-winder assembly from the 1205 replace the Ultralux assembly in a pinch?
