I noticed that too! I thought it must be pretty rare. Never seen one like it before. I love the big toggle switches on the head!

I have one just like it. I brought it to last year's convention because I thought it was a pretty rare machine. The bag on the one in the auction looks just like mine and I am pretty sure it is an original bag. Mine also has the tool kit with the cardboard carrying box. There are several different models like this and I think this one is the most basic, cheapest of the line. It has an interesting way to attach the hose to the cleaner. The port on the back of the base is where you plug the hose in after moving one of the big switches on the top of the motor to the appropriate setting. It moves some levers and switches the suction to the hole in the back. It's kind of an odd duck but cool at the same time.

I've got one, but...

mine is white and labeled Premier. Chad also has one that i gave to him a while back that is green, also labeled Premier, but it has a cord reel on it.

I have two but both of mine are a cream color and one of them has the cord reel, and a handel grip. I also believe mine have headlight? I will post them when I get to them.

I had two also...

One that color and one in cream but both of mine had vinyl bags in white with cream/off white designs on them.

Yes it would definitely seem as if these later G.E. uprights are somewhat of a rarity. Perhaps because by this time G.E. was more known for their canister cleaners? I'd love to find the G.E. upright with the low profile that lies flat.

They had one?

I can't seem to recall one lying flat.It does ring a bell but I can't remember it. Do you mean the electric sweeper?(Im sure you dont lol)Id love one of those

Indeed it is! Thanks for posting the ad. I've NEVER actually seen one, although once I did see the vacuum sweeper at a garage sale. I didn't buy because I knew I'd never be able to locate bags. Does anybody out there have one of these Twin Power uprights and can post a photo?

in the last days of GE vacs they also made a hard bodied upright that looked like a small version of the hoover dial a matic. only seen pics.

the twin power vac looks a lot like a singer design.
