The purchaser will be responsible for packing, shipping, and insurance costs which will be added to the final bid.

I wouldn't bid on something not knowing how much they might add for "packing"

hmmm, good point. I did not notice that.

But I guess a potential buyer could write the seller and ask what that amount would be.

Well, keep trying -- Model Es come up on eBay fairly often and usually don't go very high, even ones in nice condition -- as this one was.

This really was a significant model for Electrolux, despite its being an economy model. It was the first to have the combination floor/rug tool and combination dusting/upholstery brush (a mainstay right up to present time), and the first to have wheels instead of runners.

When the Model E-Automatic came out with the full-bag shut-off/pop-open feature (adapted and modified from the LX), these features all came together into a truly deluxe machine.

I sometimes wonder if there was a lot of heated arguing behind closed doors at Electrolux design meetings for the E-Automatic: When the idea was being discussed of abandoning the bag ejection system from the LX, simplifying the concept so that just the front cover popped open and the motor shut off, I have a feeling this change did not come easily.

Looking back, it surely was a good decision, even though the gloriously complicated ejection mechanism is a wonder to behold! And I have a feeling there were those who were strongly opposed to changing it for the new E-Automatic.
