Rainbow D2 insulation

So I have a rainbow D2 vacuum that I had for about 6 years already and one interesting thing is that they would have a foam like insulation inside the motor. I don't have that with my rainbow but hopefully there's an alternative way to insulate the D2 so it can be quiet.

Foam came on the E series 2 speed or the gold 2 speed. I don't believe they were designed to have insulation it could heat up things that shouldn't be heated.
If you go to raunvac you can look up parts and see for sure.
