I came across a Hoover Power Max (or is it one word?), model no. U3725-930 recently. This one has the self-propulsion feature. The self-propulsion works, but it seems so much more subtle than the earler models that I've experienced. The older ones grab and dig right in. This one is far less noticeable but it does assist. When I flip it upside down and run it, tweaking the handle to make the self-propulsion work, it responds. However, I can grab one of the drive wheels and bring it to a stop with effort. When I do this, the belt on the propulsion drive is still turning and there is no slippage. Does this sound normal? Thanks.
