As noted in a thread some time back, I recently got my grandparents' old B21 shampooer, including two sets of brushes, nap lifters, and shampoo tank. Have never used one of these before, so am wondering:
1. Are the brushes supposed to lock or snap into the base? Mine don't (they look as old as the machine), and consequently won't stay in place when the machine is run on carpet...they just vibrate out and fall off. On bare floors (less resistance) they do stay in. The slots on the brushes look worn...does this mean new brushes are on the cards?
2. Is the shampoo tank likewise supposed to lock or snap into place? I can get it to fit properly on the bottom end, but not on the top, so the shampoo release trigger and spring doesn't contact the valve on the top of the tank, thereby letting the solution flow out at the bottom.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
