Hi all, just bought a 1521, looks good, sounds good. The cord reel is a bit flaky. But I will take it apart to see if there is anything wrong and possibly just powder it.

This morning I started to take it apart and noticed something odd (to me).
After removing the top, I observed the hose, which usually comes out of the body and attaches to the cord reel housing, is missing.

I looked inside the best I could with a flashlight, but nothing. I imagine I would have to remove the motor to look inside.

So the question is, did this model still use that hose? I would like to avoid taking it apart further only to discover this is not used on this model.

Your thoughts?

Cordwinder hose--

--was to allow cooling air to winder if motor overheated due to clogged hose and was dropped when thermostat was added to motor.
