Prolite value?

I have this sweeper that is hardly used. I know they are hard to find but i didn't know what it would be worth. I always wanted one because i liked the way they looked and it was in a basement of a client whom i organize for. They had a cleaning crew so it was kind of preserved. I got a new outer bag and a new brush and belt and sanitized it well. Share any info on this unique machine.

The design is still in use today under the Tornado and Powr-flite Labels so the major thing that separates it from those is the name and color scheme I'd GUESS it's not particularly valuable due to that but who knows.

Tacony bought that design from Bissell, and allowed Bissell to use the "Healthy Home" trade-mark that was Tacony's. Tacony continued to build those machines, although they were problematic and prone to failure. I never sold one to a customer, but Tacony used that model as a 'give away' for Charitable donations. Almost all of them came back for service within a short amount of time. That machine is still made by Tacony as a commercial machine for their Powr Flite division (why they think it is in any way a commercial vacuum I don't know). They made it in yellow as a Carpet Pro, and in red as a Fuller Brush, in blue as a Powr Flite, and in white as a Maytag (which didn't get past the prototype stage).

I have the Kenmore version which was called the E4. Same machine, but it has a twister cup "bag saver" on the back pipe. Don't remember seeing them at Sears very long....

Most collectors here would likely say "plastic junk". I seen one in Goodwill a few years ago for $9.99 so that's what I'd say it's worth. But really, it's whatever someone wants to pay for it. $10? $20? $35? who knows.

It's one of those "Oreck clones" that everyone was trying to make at that time frame (early millennium). I have a Hoover Clean & Light myself which is a somewhat similar design.

For $150 About a year ago. You’ll find someone who specifically wants the Bissell labeling. I sure did!
