Hello all!
This thread I'm creating is for anyone studying Product Design, either at GCSE or whatever qualification, no matter where you are.
The centre of Product Design is, well....THE PRODUCT!
And so, here's my product, called the 'Dawn Sunset' (DL01). I combined simplistic design with attractive colours and patterns, something I had not seen in a table lamp ever!
Making the Sunset wasn't easy, I had to build 4 prototypes in order to get it right. And there we're 3 failed manufacturing attempts at making the product. It took Blood, Sweat, and Tears to make it, and on a Friday around lunchtime, everything clicked and the product and it's packaging we're finally completed, On Time, On Budget.
The message I have for anyone studying product design is this:
"Don't give up, even if you are tearing your hair out at it, keep going, it'll be all worth It in the end knowing you've produced something amazing."
