Well,
I made another impulse buy. This hand vac has been on EBay for awhile. It’s in terrible condition and it’s missIng the bag and handle. I’m hoping to restore it, and the seller does claim it runs. As long as the bearings aren’t completely shot I think I’ll be able to fix it. I also plan to replace the cord, I think the one included is non original. Any advice on what I can use as a handle and a bag? Thought’s? Thanks in advance.
-Jack

I may have a handle.
I definitely have a generic handheld vacuum bag that can be fit to the cuff if its there.

Really!

Oh that’s great! If you find those parts I’m happy to purchase them for a reasonable price.
Thanks

I have seen bags come up off and on. If I remember right it has a bag collar similar to a Royal, that twist lock fitting. But on this one it slips on inside the channel, and not outside. Other hand vacs might have the same diameter. I know just a year or two ago I think someone had a bag for sale but it was moth eaten, easy fix for someone that knows how to run a sewing machine.

The cord is not original, that is just a common 3 pin computer cord from the 1980s/90s. It would have had a braided cloth type 2 prong cord for early ones and I think later ones went to vulcanized rubber.

$5 is a very good deal. I buy wrecks like this all the time and if you keep looking, you will find the parts sooner than you might think or can find temporary parts that fit to use long-term until other parts come up.

I have a perfect one that's been sitting on my workbench in the original box with the original parts and the original cord in perfect condition for a long time. I'm getting ready to retire and don't know what to do with all this stuff. It was headed for the dump. Maybe you can use it.

I’ll send you an email

Ok I’ll send you an email. Do you want to sell the whole vacuum or just the parts I would need?

Not meaning to kibbutz here, but if you can work something out with Dysonman on his machine, it would actually make more sense (at least to my mind) to use yours as a potential parts donor for it. Of course, I've also been known to strip parts off of one machine to fix another, and then turn around and fix up the parts donor, which sort of defeats the original purpose, but I guess that's just my addictive personality.

Could I get your email to work out the details? You could also email me.
Thank you
