I have a Premier Duplex Model 9 that needs a new front bearing. I tried to take it apart the other day to clean the motor and housing out but never could get it apart. I took the back bearing out thinking that was maybe how I could access the motor and it was covered in grease. I took it out why I don't know and I think I put it back in wrong. I took the machine to the vacuum shop I work at sometimes and my boss said he thinks it needs a new front bearing because he could wiggle pulley and fan. I looked up a parts schematic for this machine and noticed that the bearings are E8 and E86. Does anyone have a spare parts machine or bearings I could possibly buy? I believe this is my oldest machine in my collection and I really want to use it but I can't because of the bearings. Also, if anyone knows where I can get bearings for this or a parts machine, please let me know! Thanks!

I was searching through the archives and found this. If OP no longer has it, to anyone looking for an answer, all Premier/GE vacuums used the same bearings. The bearing can be removed from the plate and replaced with the bearing from any prewar Premier/GE, and even some Birtmans. Handheld Premier bearings work too, they just need the spacer pushed out(smaller shaft on handhelds).
