Do any of you here have any pre-1984 (assembled July 31, 1983 and earlier) Sanitaire SC679, SC684, SC886, SC888 or SC899 uprights?
These can be distinguished from 1984 and later models due to the name Sanitaire being represented in block lettering rather than the "yin-yang S" symbol (similar to Safeway's logo) and Sanitaire (in Helvetica type).
I remember seeing a video of a pre-1984 SC899 Wide Track (on YouTube) being tested on a lawn in an ant hill. The user who submitted that video was actually intending to destroy the machine, and I immediately disliked it for that reason.
