A few weeks ago, our first lady of vacuums, Miss Tania Voigt, called me about a vacuum on facebook marketplace about an hour north of me in Lyons, IL
Well I picked it up a few days later...and indeed she was right, it is a fine example of a practically unused C-2 Revalation!

The seller bought an entire estate, and the elderly man who had it bought it new for his wife when they moved into the house. She died young, and he hired a cleaning service who brought their own sweeper. This machine has not seen use since the early 50's

Sadly the original cord is as brittle as can be, so I'll need to replace it and give the motor a good checkup before I can run the machine.

I'll let the pictures speak for themselves...

Wonderful! Not quite the Compact I grew up with but still would feel and sound enough like it to make smile. Local my check book would have been in trouble! They maneuver so easily around the house, my Silverado does not, just too long.

I remember these

We had a blue one and my grandparents had a gray one. Probably the first vacuum cleaner I had ever laid hands on.Both were kept in wooden chests with padded vinyl and I could smell cedar when they opened them up. I don't know if they came in chests or if the chests were from another cleaner, the attachments went up inside the lid, very organized.

Nice

Its the vacuum shops version of the compact. It would be closer to a c2 if it's from the early 50's.
I bet this 70 year old vacuum will out perform newer vacuums. Its design is basically still in use by tristar, patriot, miracle mate, vortec force just to name a few.

Wow!

First off, CONGRATULATIONS! A real beauty, I love the color.

It was very kind of Tania Voigt to alert you. I see why she is admired.

And the original box!

I am happy for you.

Ciao!
