POD - Hoover Constellation

When did Hoover move the power switch to the side of the canister and for what reason? Was it done at the end of the constellation series?

I think part of it could be

when they 'tilted' the cleaner to add that tool caddy.

The model that has the switch on the side isn't tilted however...so would this model have come after the tilted model?

Hey Gary, I have a Penncrest badged constellation with two oddities. One being the side switch, and the older style handle from the early models. The color is taupe on the bottom and creme on the top, with the blue Penncrest badge on the top where the dip is under the handle. I have never seen a constellation with the front hose attachment opening with the old style flip-over handle and side switch. I have wondered if it might me the last Penncrest badged model.
