Hey guys, I just recently picked up a general electric swivel top vacuum cleaner, at the moment the only thing that has is the short stubby end of the hose that fits into the vacuum suction/blower port, it did come with a hose but that was actually for a green Electrolux of the same age, I’ll send a photo of the machine with the short stubby end and of how the hose was attached

PS, originally the seller wanted $150 for it, but after showing her how it works she said it has more suction than her central vacuum, and in which I used this vacuum to clean out the filter, and she said it made quite a noticeable difference in suction and then after that she said “you can keep it it’s free, you would probably take better care of it than my mum”

And that hose is oddly enough roughly the same colour of the vacuum, although the hose is quite worn and there are a couple of weeks, but Vacuum has great suction

Hi Adam,

Just wondering: did GE have a factory in Australia? And if yes, where was the plant located?

Or were these shipped from the USA across the Pacific?

Not a bad deal. I guess she figured you saved her a $150 service fee from ringing a man. Ridiculous to ask $150 for this anyway - try $15.

This looks exactly like one I won on eBay months ago but the seller was a scammer who stole the money and ran off, and never shipped it. Same rust pattern and everything.

Not a bad little vacuum for being so simple, they are great for car cleaning.
