While this was an inexpensive dishwasher back then…it did the job well and served us since 1990 when the house was purchased. A basic GE dishwasher, a single timer knob and one option switch for “heated dry” or “energy saver dry”. If you turned the dial a bit past the first pre rinse it had a “light wash” position. I discovered…while vacuuming the basement (with my Electrolux model L by the way) that the dishwasher had been leaking for some time onto the subfloor under it as a drop of water dripped onto my arm. I checked under the dishwasher and sure enough…some sort of seal had gone bad. All parts of the unit are discontinued so no choice…had to let it go…we even had upgraded it 4 years ago ordering a stainless steel front panel for it as it was the type with the interchangeable panels and I found a company that would cut stainless steel to any size on line and they specialized in panels for various older model appliances..
Well it was kind of a whiny appliance but still worked despite the leak. It was in a summer home that is only used 3 months out of each year and not daily so it really only had maybe 7 years of everyday use on it. These models though would store water in the bottoms and that likely caused the seal to eventually give way over time
