Rather than resurrect some zombie threads, thought I would start a new one to highlight my wife's still-favorite vacuum cleaner ever, her Panasonic Jet-Flo MC-6217 from the early 1990's. This particular vac had a 10-year life in in a women's retail clothing store my wife worked at, so tons on use daily. By the early 2000's the cord started pulling out of the machine exposing wires, so the store was throwing it out. My wife snatched it a brought it home. I did a little handi-work and she's now been using an additional 15-16 years at home. It still works great, is pretty quiet and the only repair I've done over the years is put in a new pre-motor filter after my wife forgot to change the bag timely and there was a little over-flow. I wouldn't mind getting new roller brushes for it, but so far have been unable to locate replacements on the internet.
