Panasonic arrived today

underside of machine shows the LARGE rear wheels located under the back of machine. It will pull over door sills and it's own cord. Also shows the park positon for the power nozzle.

Panasonic arrived today

complete set showing chrome wands and tools.
I am using the optional hepa cloth bag. Long 24 ft cord
Both the main motor and power nozzle are quiet by todays standards of screeming vacuums.
So far well pleased with all the nice features and under $200.00. I have paid $400.00 to $700.00 for other canisters that I liked a LOT less with short hoses, short power cords, useless attachments and much higher priced bags.

We will see how it holds up.

Panasonic arrived today

I am going to take Rob Shore's advise and get a set of wands to use with the tools and not mess with disconnecting the power nozzle since this seems to be a weak point at least with the similar machines sold by Sears.
I like the hose and the off/on/brush control on the hose handle.

Looks great!

This is a very nice machine, not overly complicated. I think they are a good value also. It is like the original Kenmore version in every way.

If you want a horsehair dusting brush, you may find one at your local Sears store. I know the store near me has them.

Panasonic arrived today

the machine itself has LARGE wheels located under the weight of the motor and cord winder, so it is well balanced and can be easily tipped up for easy storage or carrying.
Power nozzle also has wheels at rear so it can be easily tilted back and rolled.

Wonderful vacuum cleaner for the money. Add some Kenmore cloth HEPA bags, and a nice horsehair bare floor brush, and you have a great vacuum to clean your home.

Don't underestimate the usefulness of the included bare floor tool - it is actually very good on floors that don't need delicate treatment (linoleum, shiny bathroom tile, etc). It cleans on the backstroke as well as the forward stroke due to its central line of bristles. You can also use it on low pile throw rugs and even delicate area rugs and mattresses.

Enjoy the Pannie! :-)

AWESOME!!!

It looks terrific!! You got the hose I was hoping you would get as well!! I hope you get many years of cleaning with this power house. Great airflow, great agitation, good tools. I am surprised an thought the dusting brush would be horse hair but those bristles will work well too or you can get a separate horse hair tool. The bare floor brush included does work but if you find the front plastic scraping on floors like I have or not taking off fine dust, then a full brushed horse hair generic tool for about $11 at your local vac shop you may love even more.

Overall great buy. I love seeing canister vacs in households!!! To me canisters are the true deep cleaning machines with abilities to thoroughly and easily clean all surfaces in your home. Enjoy the new machine.

This looks EXACTLY

like the very first 2004 Kenmore I bought, right down the the color! I can't believe this is still made almost 10 years later.....I remember when I first started using it I thought it was the best vacuum I had ever used....AND.......Up until that point......I had always used upright vacuums. Once I used this baby, I said I'm never using an upright again, and I haven't...

Panasonic arrived

Brian-I was surprised at how well made it seems to be considering the price. The bottom plate says made in Mexico.
I did get the hepa cloth bags for better filtration.

Rob-I do like the hose. The floor brush sort of reminds me of the floor brush that came with my Hoover Spirit with the brush in the middle.

I like to look a vacuum over as far as the features, build quality and ease of use and compare it to other machines of the same type and price range.
I used it the first time and I knew it would be a pleasure to use with the long power cord, flexible hose, good balance, large wheels and full size tools.

Mark-I was surprised at how quiet both the main motor and the power nozzle motor are in operation. You can be sure it won't replace my RAINBOW, but it is much better than I expected for under $200.00.

From looking at the pictures-he Panasonic is a VERY nice little vacuum-time will tell how it works.Anxious to know!Reminds me of the Sears one my Stepmom had.My Dad bought her a Royal upright-she HATED it!She didn't like Kirbys either-she was a "canister" person.Wished I could have had both of those vacuums they used to have.Just don't know what happened to them-my older brother didn't either.
