Greetings, today my second 'lux model E arrived, this one not a rebuild. The hammertone blue paint is in excellent shape but in person it looks very faded compared to the paint on my AE. Were there color variations throughout production, or was the AE always a brighter blue than the E?

I got lucky with this one because it came with an original box in admittedly terrible condition, the owner's manual, original wands and floor tool, a leaky replacement hose, and two original upholstery/dusting brushes. I stuck the second one on my AE which came to me without one. The hose is in excellent cosmetic condition, so I'll display it with my gold model L. I may try sealing it.

Oh yeah, my 1505 Silverado deluze arrived today too. I'll do another post about that later.

Best,

Joel

Electrolux used the same paint on the E, Automatic E, and Thrift model T.
Different conditions within homes as well as storage spots will affect the paint color and quality. Even the pollutants in the air vary by where it's stored, whether it was subjected to sunlight during storage, etc.
