Hi everyone. I just got a new digital camera (100 dollar Nikon) and I wanted to try it out. I thought what better to photograph than my collection. I've gotten so many new things over the past year or so that I'm running out of room in my small apartment. I have decided to throw away some things that don't work and that don't bring me joy anymore. Even throwing away the little bit that I'm going to leave me with just enough room to squeeze all my vacuums together, but not to get more. I may have to hang the Oreck and Vorwerk on the wall! I know that some people also are into other appliances too so rather than make a whole new thread, I'm going to tack my portable dishwasher, portable all in one laundry processor (washer/condenser dryer), and sewing machines onto this thread. I think the pictures would have turned out better if I'd done them in the daylight, but I just couldn't wait to play with the camera. I think there's going to be a learning curve to getting it just right as my only camera heretofore has been my cell phone! I'm glad to have a place like this to share my passion with like minded people.

I think there are 14 pics in all.

Thanks!

Eurekas first. Of course my favorite and current daily driver is the recently acquired 1934A. Very happy with it.

Kirbys/Royals

Favorite here is a toss up between the G5 and the Sanitronic 80. I NEVER use the Heritage 2, but keep it because it's a vac from my childhood (not that specific one though).

misc...

Extra vacs that don't really have a category. Hoover Steam Vac I just got last week and I love it! Vorwerk, Singer System, Oreck 100 CC?, and Dyson DC14 with belt changing tools.

trash

This is all the junk I'm throwing away. I've never liked any of these, and now none of them work properly... broken parts mostly, though the rainbow d2 doesn't work at all. These are going in the trash!!! Good-bye old friends LOL

modern sewing machine

Just got this one last week as a present for myself.... an electronic brother pc 420 complete with automatic push button thread slicer, needle up/down, hands free mode, throttle, and knee operated presser foot lifter. It's amazing!

portable dishwasher

My apartment didn't come with a dishwasher and I was lost before I got this. I use it every other day, and have had it about 2 years now. It's a GE Nautilaus.

last pic

This is my portable all in one laundry processor. An Edgestar CW1200. It hooks up to the sink and washes and dries all in one appliance. So much better than using the public facilities (though they are right outside my door!). The dryer takes a while, but I find if I load the appropriate amount of clothes it does fine. When I bought it, a year and a half ago I think, it was missing a button. I'm going to buy one for it though... it's going to be 15 dollars with shipping, but I don't care, stuff like that really bothers me!

This is all the pictures, thanks for looking!!

hi

Thanks everyone. I got several e-mails about the Electrolux that is in the "trash" picture. Rather than respond to each one, I'll just respond here. I already threw it away! I am sorry, I should have asked if any of you wanted any of them before I pitched them. I guess I wasn't thinking! I just thought... they are old and falling apart and nobody would want these, I certainly don't. I know one man's trash is another man's treasure though, so sorry about that. The Lux did turn on, but the back wheels and hose on the bottom were broken so it wasn't really usable.

Thanks again....
